As I move on to a new chapter in my life I have to look back and reflect on my memories. I had lots of fun experiences and they overshadow the low points but what makes all these experiences fun is I had great Friends along the way. Friends are really important and their one of the hardest things to find. Real Friends not acquaintances. Real friends are people you can sit down and talk to for 3 hours about topics like the issue in Syria to the stupidest Worldstarhiphop video you just saw. Real friends are with you in your triumphs and failures, they don’t discourage but criticize to improve you. Real friends can be like family, even if you don’t live with them or have any blood relations. I remember since grade 3 I’ve had a great friend who eventually went out of my last over the past year and reconnecting with him was one of the highlights of 2014. Its amazing how things change but still stay the same. We connect on a deep level, we got our inside jokes and just understand each other. I realized slowly that I have tons of acquaintances than Real friends, and I believe this is the case with most people. When I came to this epiphany I decided why not cut all these people off, people that are a waste of time. I’m not going to have a small superficial conversation with a random person I haven’t seen in over 3 months, nah bro that’s a waste of time. Its human nature to go away from anything chasing us, so why chase friends or actively pursue someone who you know won’t reciprocate your interest? So I’m currently cutting people off and If you haven’t heard from me in a while then guess what…your cut. Cutting people is good because It helped me focus on the ones that truly care, instead of being everyones buddy I’d rather be a best friend. I like people that are interesting and different. I’m not going to hang out with no basic bitch or basic nigga, I’m trying to see different perspectives. So I became a lot more introverted and maybe a little anti-social. If you listen to Jay Rock “Anti-Social” then you’ll understand my mentality. I actually enjoy time alone because I enjoy having my own thoughts and when I’m with acquaintances they drag me down, when I could easily be making progress (in the gym, at work, making money, eating, etc). So my recommendations is to keep your circle small. The bigger the crew the more snakes in that squad. Rocko said “don’t like snakes keep my grass cut so low can’t een mow it”. So cut those acquaintances, cause some of em might be snakes. Music recommendation for today “Tired of talkin” by Lil Bibby
Recently I’ve seen a lot of movies so I’ll break down each of em in about 2-3 sentences. If you disagree, don’t be shy to comment bellow.
1.Non-Stop—This is the movie with Liam Neeson where he’s an plane police guy (or whatever that thing is called), Its actually a crazy movie, the plot twists are at another level. Its realistic in some ways but unrealistic with some of the fight scenes, I know its not in theaters no more but its a worth a look on DVD.
2.Noah–No lie I loved this movie. Even if you’re not religious at all I recommend you watch this film, It deals with basic aspects of human nature; greed, jealously, sacrifice, etc but It also deals with fatherhood and what it means to be a man. This is a fitting movie for fathers day and if you have a daddy then watch this with him. Favorite scene was when the villain guy says his speech (you’ll know what I’m talking about) and That harry potter girl was crying in every freakin scene, It was cool at first but by the 50000th time I got pissed.
3.The Other Ones–I usually don’t like horror movies cause they’re soft and I was right about this one, pure garbage (no need to recycle this). 1 thing in the movie made me slightly move, and it was the last scene. S/O to Alex Lost for being there to witness the disaster.
4.Draft Day–I’m a football guy so guess how much I loved this film? It was dope! There was actually 4-5 minutes total of actual football happening but you get interested in the story of the guy trying to build up the Cleveland Browns from the dust by drafting an impact player with the 1st overall pick. Every football fan should watch this, Its poetic how the actual 2014 NFL Draft is very similar to this movie.
5.Neighbors–Eyyyy this movie was actually the funniest film I’ve seen in years…yes I said years!! Maybe cause I don’t watch movies often but yo this had me rolling on the floor. No joke you can’t watch this alone though, If your against racist, sexist, sexual, drug, and party jokes then (your lame as hell) do not watch this movie.
6.Belle–Great movie, search it up. It surprised me actually, Its one of those films that wins awards. Its serious 99.99% of the time so don’t watch it under the influence. I recommend it to everyone.
7.Godzilla–Pure garbage…on to the next one.
8.X-Men Days of Future Past–Wolverine is my dude but yo Magneto and Mystique was too nice in this one. Maybe it was the peanut butter M&Ms I was eating but this film was sick, I only slept for 10 minutes which is impressive cause I wasn’t conscious during most of Godzilla. By the way Halle Berry was looking proper in this movie, I’d take her over Mystique any day of the week including Sunday (Lord have mercy)
If you disagree comment, If you agree then your a normal human being.
Let me break it down real quick. People out here are so concerned about being loved or hated. I’ve noticed that folks love to be loved and look for approval by everyone, I find this weak. Personally I think you should have a group of haters, because then you know your doing something different. Look at the richest and most successful people in the world, they have competition and tons of haters but they still are making money. Bill Gates for example has competition with Apple and no matter how much they say “we’re cool with Microsoft” Apple competes with them and wants to end the empire Bill Gates built. This might not be the greatest example but I think its a small metaphor for how human nature works. A man can build himself up and have someone new come up to tear down the man who has been putting in work. So haters I got a solid message for all of you (you know exactly who you are): “KEEP IT UP!”. It inspires me, It refreshes me, It energizes me, Feed Me More (Ryback reference). Lets look at the reasons to hate 1. Jealousy 2. Influence to fit in 3. Insecurities 4.Boredom <—those are the only four I could think of.
1. A lot of people don’t like admitting to Jealousy but let’s get real: this is the main reason people hate. If someone is doing better than you, it is very natural to hate em’. If someone is more carefree and seems to have a better life then of course you’ll be jealous and then that leads to hate
2. People influence each other so much. If 1 charismatic person convinces a group of people to dislike someone then it will lead to hate. Example, Adolf Hitler convinced most Germans to hate Jews even though Jews did nothing to instigate the hate.
3. Insecurities are so potent. A self-confident and self-reliant person has no reason to hate on the people because he/she knows that everything is going to be fine and that they are good enough as they are, Insecure people are the opposite. Its even worse because they have something empty in them that gets filled with hate towards something or someone. This ties in with Jealousy.
4. Boredom is a disease, because you are not at ease when your bored. If your calm and easy with yourself you can sit in a room with no phone, no T.V, no computer, straight on the sofa staring at a wall and NOT be bored. When your empty, like most people are and you are easily influenced then you might shift your boredom into pure hate.
So now that we understand why the hate exists lets first recognize what to do in this situation: You can either fight it like a weak punk and look really soft while doing it or you can rise above that and prove that hating is natural occurrence. The beautiful thing about haters is that they don’t say it to your face. I say beautiful because it shows you that your not the one at fault for they’re assassination of your character. Basically they hate cuz your doing better. So you should respond with kindness, a smile, a joke and ” Ouu kill em” (Terrio) with kindness. If you don’t have a band of haters then your really not doing shit. Listen to “If I were a lame” by Wiz Khalifa thats my music recommendation. Stay intellectual and be a savage but don’t be a lame. #Truth
