I Don’t Wanna – Poemix

I Don’t Wanna – Poemix

I don’t wanna be alone

Alone in a world of hurt, a world where I don’t want to be alone

Alone in a world of pain

Alone in a world of everlasting torture

I don’t wanna be alone

Why be alone? When trust is gone? When Love is gone?

Why do I want to be alone?

Why must I fall into the tap of everlasting solitude ?

I don’t wanna be alone

But I’d rather be alone with you…and no one else.

Baby girl ❤

High off Life could have been elite if Future took his time

High off Life could have been elite if Future took his time

I won’t hide it, I’m a big fan of Future and I’ve given his album multiple listens and I’ve come to the conclusion that it was rushed. When we usually get a Future project we find gems hidden and chart toppers, in this album we realize that these tracks were made a few weeks before release and not fleshed out. Here’s the Pros, Cons and conclusion from this 8th tape.

Pros

HNDRXX and WIZRD are the best albums created by future, 56 Nights and Purple Reign are his best mixtapes. In these projects we see a different type of Future and this album gave me a 56 Nights vibe, which is disappointing because his previous work (WIZRD) was amazing. Tracks like Tycoon, Up the River, Trillionaire and Last Name stand out because they’re complete. Future uses his classic delivery and flow in each one, he doesn’t force it, he’s comfortable. Most of the features in this album work, but two stand out, Lil Durk and Travis Scott. They make Future take his flow to a new level, one that isn’t a copycat but is his own and this is the pocket we need Future to stay.

Is Future problematic?

Is Future problematic?

Short answer is yes, longer answer is going to be 200-300 words…keep reading. If you’ve been living under rocks and Quarntine-ing with Patrick Star from Sponge Bob SquarePants then you might not know Future. Future is a multi-award winning millionaire trapper turned rapper who is the father of multiple mumblers: Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Playboi Carti, Gunna, Nav and others. Apart from being a hip hop legend, and yes he is a legend, he is also the King of The Shade Room. The Shade Room is a terrible celebrity gossip page on Instagram that perpetuates negative stereotypes of black people. Future is a weekly headline for this page. A few days ago it was revealed via The Shade Room that he is the father of a 1 year old child that he wasn’t claiming. This isn’t new to Future because he has 6 different baby mothers, spanning 10 years or more of condom-less irresponsible sex with thots questionable women.

R.Kelly walked so Tekashi 69 could fly

R.Kelly walked so Tekashi 69 could fly

Remember in the early 2000s when R.Kelly got off for peeing on a teenage girl and released “Ignition remix”? Remember when people stopped caring and still danced to his music? Remember when Sammy “The Bull” Gravano told on the Gambino crime family in the 80’s? And had mob movies made about him? What do these things have in common? None of those guys have morals, code, ethics and the people didn’t care because they were entertained.

Tekashi is the same thing, he’s a rat with 0 morals and loyalty, and that’s okay…why? Because hip hop fans don’t care, they want fire music and entertainment. We’re the same culture that let Lil Pump exist…we’re the same culture that let Drake have ghost writers, we’re the same culture that promotes drug addicts (Famous Dex, Young Thug, Lil Peep, etc) and rappers who can’t rap. We’re the same culture that let Bhad Baby have a career, we gave Macklemore a Grammy before Kendrick Lamar and we let Adam22 have relevance…morals, ethics and common sense are out the window.

The year of the rat…literally

The year of the rat…literally

About a year ago I wrote a post about why Tekashi should snitchand a year later…i’d like to apologize. 2020 in the Chinese calendar is the Year of the Rat and the biggest rat in the music industry came out a week ago because of the Chinese virus. You can’t make this ish up. And you know what makes this worse? Tekashi will be embraced and back in the same industry he disrespected. Let me be clear WE SHOULD NEVER SUPPORT RATS LIKE TEKASHI 69 EVER ! Point blank period, if you don’t stand for something you will fall for anything.

QUARANTINE QUARANTINE QUARANTINE !!!

QUARANTINE QUARANTINE QUARANTINE !!!

Before you ask, Of course I’m reviewing New Toronto 3 but lets get to the point, Tory Lanez won IG and took over Quarantine! Talk about turning Lemons into Lemonade, this man is literally turning Instagram into the most entertaining thing in our lives. The man got banned from going Live on IG because he had models swallowing dildos, this man’s manager deserves a raise or Tory is that smart and deserves all his flowers.

I’ll go with the second thought and with his new album coming out at midnight this was the perfect marketing tactic. This man gained 2 million followers (including me) in the past week. ARE YOU DUMB?!? ARE YOU STUPID?!?! yes, all of us. We bow to the prince of Tdot! My only advice is to make a deal with Instagram to get a check $$$ with 300 thousand people jamming, there’s a bag to get !

This is the PND’s best album

This is the PND’s best album

Let me start this by saying that PARTYNEXTDOOR is one of my favorite artists, so this will be bias, I am not a music journalist and this is an opinion based blog. Here’s a quick break down of why Partymobile is PND’s best project:

The Great Good

Unlike The Weeknd’s weak assAfter Hours” , Partymobile is consistent has a specific tone. Like his first project PARTYNEXTDOOR decided “I’m going to stay in this lane and flow with it”. Other than Believe It most of the songs on this album sound similar and to some people that may be boring but when you look at R&B as a genre and the greatest albums created they have a cohesive tone. They don’t jump up and down like a pogo stick. That’s why this project stands out because PND is telling stories about the past. The strongest case for it is the smash hit Savage Anthem, my personal favorite. The man sends smoke for Kehlani and Kyrie while talking about his side nigga tendencies, its beautiful. This record will do numbers, it felt like a throwback to 90’s love ballads similar to Joe or Jon B.
